About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PIKO (package name com.umeron.piko) handles information when the app is used.

PIKO is a playful toy app intended for young children and their families. It responds to taps and device movement with sounds, lights, animations, and haptic feedback. We designed the app around data minimization: the core experience does not require an account and does not need us to collect personal information.

Simple promise: PIKO is for play, not profiling. We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles, or invite children to share personal details.

2

Information we collect

PIKO does not ask users to provide personal information. In the current version, we do not operate a user-account system or a server that receives children's play activity.

We do not intentionally collect:

Names or birth dates
Email addresses or phone numbers
Precise or approximate location
Contacts or address books
Photos, videos, or microphone audio
Messages or user-created content
Payment or purchase details
Advertising profiles

Settings stored on the device

PIKO may remember basic preferences, such as a selected language, sound setting, or parent-mode choice. These preferences are stored locally on the device and are not sent to us. They can generally be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

3

Device features used by PIKO

To make the toy respond during play, PIKO may use ordinary device capabilities. These signals are used to provide the requested feature and are processed locally.

  • Motion sensors: accelerometer or similar movement signals may be used to detect shaking or movement and trigger lights, sounds, or animation.
  • Audio output: the app plays bundled music, voice, and sound effects through the device speaker.
  • Vibration or haptics: the app may provide gentle device feedback during an interaction.
  • Local storage: the app may keep non-personal preferences on the device.

PIKO does not use these features to identify a child, follow their physical location, record conversations, or create a behavioral profile.

4

Children's privacy

PIKO is designed for children, including children under 13, and is intended to be used with parent or guardian supervision. We apply a child-friendly approach by avoiding forms, accounts, public profiles, chat, social sharing, targeted advertising, and unnecessary data collection.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If a parent or guardian believes personal information has somehow been provided to us, they should contact us so that we can investigate and delete it where applicable.

Parents and guardians remain in control of the device, app installation, permissions, volume, screen time, and access to any external app-store services.

5

Advertising, analytics, and third parties

The current version of PIKO does not intentionally use third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, social networking, cloud sign-in, or in-app payment services.

The app may be downloaded and updated through an app store or device platform. Those platform providers may process information under their own privacy policies, independently of PIKO. For example, the store may handle installation records, crash information, security checks, or purchase-account details as part of its own service.

PIKO does not control the data practices of the operating system, app store, device manufacturer, or services a parent separately enables on the device.

6

Data retention and deletion

Because PIKO does not maintain user accounts or intentionally collect personal information on our servers, we do not retain a personal user profile for the app.

Any basic preferences saved locally remain on the device until they are changed, the app's storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. A parent or guardian can use the device settings to manage or remove this local app data.

7

Security and international use

We reduce privacy risk by limiting data collection and keeping core play interactions on the device. No method of electronic storage or software distribution is completely risk-free, but we aim to use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the app's limited data practices.

PIKO may be available in multiple countries and languages. The privacy approach described in this policy applies wherever the app is offered. Parents should also review any local requirements and the privacy settings provided by their device and app store.

8

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PIKO's features, legal requirements, or distribution methods change. When we make an update, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page.

If a future version introduces a materially different data practice, such as online accounts or analytics, this policy should be updated before that feature is released and any required parental notice or consent should be provided.

9
